# Sjoerd Peters Sjoerd Peters specializes in patent litigation. He advises and represents national and international clients in complex patent disputes before the UPC and the Dutch courts. His experience spans a broad range of technologies, including pharmaceuticals and biotechnology, telecommunications and mechanical engineering. Alongside his patent litigation practice, Sjoerd advises on related life sciences and intellectual property matters, including pharmaceutical and medical device regulation, supplementary protection certificates (SPCs), trademark and design law, trade secrets and unfair competition, IP licensing and transfer, anti-counterfeiting and tort law. Sjoerd obtained his Master’s degree in Information Law from the University of Amsterdam’s Institute for Information Law (IViR) in 2019. During his studies, he provided pro bono legal advice to start-ups and private individuals through Clinic Law Incubator, a legal aid clinic specialising in intellectual property and information law. Prior to joining the Amsterdam office of HOYNG ROKH MONEGIER in 2026, Sjoerd worked for over five years at a intellectual property law firm in Amsterdam. Sjoerd Peters has registered Intellectual Property Law as his principal legal practice area in the Netherlands Bar’s register of legal practice areas (rechtsgebiedenregister).
